This dataset shows School Pupils Number on Roll (NOR) in Lincolnshire schools. Numbers of Pupils are shown by School and by School Phase, and by Age and National Curriculum Year. The dataset covers current and main pupils on the roll of schools in Lincolnshire. Pupil numbers are allocated to local authority district areas based on the geographical location of school. Points to be aware of: • Sixth form pupils who now attend consortia Sixth forms must be recorded as a subsidiary pupil at the school they receive education at and as a Main (Dual registered) pupil with the school that holds their registration details. • FTE means the full time equivalent numbers of pupils in attendance. For example, a class of 20 nursery children attending either mornings or afternoons only (half days) would count as 10 FTE. Note the FTE for Primary Schools includes Nursery Pupils Data is from the Schools Census and shows a snapshot in May. It is updated annually. There are 3 datasets within this publication showing key aspects of Ethnic Minority Populations in Lincolnshire: Ethnic Groups, Proficiency in English, and Religion. The datasets show 2021 Census estimates of the total resident population with breakouts for these three population categories. These Census 2021 datasets are sourced from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) Nomis website - see the Source link below. Data is shown for Lincolnshire and Districts, and for 2021 Lower Super Output Areas (LSOA). Different geographies and more detailed breakouts of these and other useful datasets, are available at the Source link. The data is updated every 10 years with the next update due from the Census 2031.
Population Projections from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). These are the official projections of the future resident population in Lincolnshire. Population projections show estimates of future population sizes for the next 25 years based on recent population trends and Population Mid-Year Estimates (also published on this platform). Population projections are produced by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and are updated every two years.
This dataset shows numbers and percentages of pupils on roll in Lincolnshire schools who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). Indicators are included to show whether the outcome is in the form of Support (SEN-K) or an Education, Health and Care Plan (SEN-E). The dataset covers current and main pupils on the roll of schools in Lincolnshire, and includes Gender breakouts. Pupils are allocated to geographical areas (such as Wards and NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups) based on home address. Figures shown in the data as ‘Out of County’ represent pupils not resident within the Lincolnshire administrative boundary. Those are included in the Lincolnshire total. Data is suppressed where appropriate 5 persons and below (which may be shown as zero or by missing data). That and any unmatched postcodes may mean numbers for small areas might not add up exactly to figures shown for larger areas. Data is from the Schools Census and shows a snapshot in January and is updated annually. Data source: Lincolnshire County Council Children's Services. Population Mid-year Estimates from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). These are the official estimates of the resident population in Lincolnshire. ONS uses information from the census and other data to produce these official mid-year population estimates every year between each census. These figures show how many people live in each local area and the population age-sex structure. This data is updated annually. Although the ONS data shows exact numbers, they are estimates so some rounding should be applied. For current Armed forces populations, two Ministry of Defence links are also shown below. The ONS 2021 Census link has Veterans data. Population Projections data sourced from ONS is also available on this platform. The Source link shown below is to the ONS Nomis website. It has user-friendly data query tools for a broad range of ONS and other datasets from official sources.
This dataset contains two distinct sets of data. One shows School Pupils Black and Minority Ethnicity (BME), and the other one shows School Pupils with English as a Second Language (E2L). Both show the Number and Percentage of current and main pupils on the roll of Schools in Lincolnshire at a given point in the year, and include Gender breakouts. Pupils are allocated to geographical areas (such as Wards and NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups) based on home address. BME includes pupils not either White British, White English, White Welsh, White Scottish or White Cornish. EAL refers to pupils for whom first language has been specified and is other than English. (Pupils where language information has not been provided are not counted as EAL, eg. where parents have exercised their right to refuse to provide the information). Data is from the Schools Census and shows a snapshot in January. It is updated annually. Data source: Lincolnshire County Council Childrens Services. For any enquiries about this publication contact SchoolCensus@lincolnshire.gov.uk .

More detailed data breakdowns (such as Age of Child, Family Type and Work Status, plus data for other small area geographies and trend data), are available at the Source link. The latest data is marked P for Provisional and is subject to future revision. Data source: Department for Work and Pensions and HM Revenue and Customs. Updates are according to government statistics releases. For more information about this data and its methodology, please see the Source link.
Household Waste Collected and Recycling rates. The dataset shows annual (financial year) figures for Local Authority Districts and Lincolnshire. The data shows the quantity (kg) of Household Waste Collected per person. (This reflects former national indicator BVPI 84a). The data also shows the overall Household Recycling and Composting Rate, as a percentage of household waste. (This reflects former national indicator NI192). Household Waste figures are used to calculate the Recycling rates. The county total figure for Household Waste may be higher than the sum of the districts, because Lincolnshire is a disposal authority not a collection authority. The data is updated annually.
